"You're a myth now!" Jack shouted to Sam as he fought. "You'll figure out new powers all the time Next thing you know it'll be rainbows shooting out your nose or you'll develop the power of being really, really annoying, like the Leprechaun."
Jack suddenly dropped, straight down to the ground like he'd suddenly turned to lead but it wasn't without purpose, because it meant that two of the fearlings collided into one another, turning into a mass of shadow stuff that bowled over several others before Jack froze the entire mass and in dissolved into dust.
Even amidst the danger, he couldn't help but chuckle. It looked like something out of the Three Stooges.
That laughter quickly left his eyes as he saw a prong of the fearlings arching overhead. So far, they'd kept most of the mass from heading towards the sleigh - and the younger members of the group besides Mami. The fearlings seemed to be trying to get around that.
Jack was reluctant to ask her but he needed the help, Bunny and Sam already had their hands full, and she had quite a range - and good aim - with those weapons of hers. (Not the most kid-friendly, guns, but what could you do?)
"Mami, can you cover me?" Jack asked, looking as if he was about to shoot off even higher into the air.
