Mission: Very Possible
Lyle Norg is very pleased with himself. Sure, he and Brainy are in a crisis situation and trapped away from their team, but it's a crisis situation where they still have the time and space to take breaks to collect themselves and recover from the Hell that was the previous universe they'd been trapped in. And since they are no longer in that universe, he can do things now that he couldn't have earlier.
Things like the thing that he is currently very pleased about.
Invisible, he slips into the area already designated as "Brainy's Lab", cradling a mechanical-and-fluff penguin in his hands (it's quite dapper, for a toy, if he does say so himself). Brainy is naturally hard at work, but Lyle can be patient, drifting silently toward the Coluan and taking advantage of his invisibility and Brainy's preoccupation to admire his boyfriend in his natural and undisturbed element. And ogle him a little. He'd done both these things before, but never when he'd been in a position to do anything about them.
He just needs to wait until Brainy turns away...
When the moment comes, Lyle is as swift and silent as a striking snake, dropping the penguin and its attached note where Brainy can't miss it when he turns back, but not actually in Brainy's experiment since an inevitable explosion is not what he's going for here.
Then, holding his breath in anticipation, he steps back to watch Brainy's reaction.

What with the oversized safety apron. And the ridiculous safety goggles. And the rubbery safety gloves.
When he saw the doll and the note, he froze, narrowing his eyes, then pulled off the massive rubbery safety gloves, and pushed the goggles to the top of his head.
What was this nonsense doing in his lab and who'd put it there? He didn't see anyone aro - ooooh, he knew what this was. (Or at least who was behind it?) Sure enough, the note appeared to be written in Interlac.
What was his boyfriend up to?
He went over and picked up the note.
