Cassie coughed into her hand to disguise a smile at Khaji Da's latest 'pointed remark'.

"I doubt it counts as 'commandeering' if he's always listening through Jaime's ears," she said diplomatically.

Her smile thinned and her eyes narrowed at the suggestion aimed at her. Quippy though it was, she couldn't bring herself to disagree.

"This is the first time anyone's had this bad of a run-in with the bad guys," she said. "What can you tell me about the person that did this?"

Because Cassie wanted to not kill the right her repeatedly in the face.
