Everyone Loves the Sleigh
They'd had a few days to get settled in. In that time, the Yetis and Elves had been nothing but welcoming, making sure the gang had a never-ending supply of treats, cocoa, and eggnog, as well as more wholesome food to nosh on. Even though they had work to do - and seemed to enjoy doing it - the Yetis had been helpful in getting them all settled in, into rooms specially designed to each of their specifications. If anything had a want or need of something, like new clothes, or a new pair of shoes, they'd been quick to provide.
Jack and Bunny had done their part to make the new folks feel welcome, as well, by showing them around and socializing, but they'd been in and out constantly during the last few days. Some of the times they'd come back in, they'd looked a touch on this side of ragged.
True to their word, despite the fact that they'd been busy putting out fires caused by Kuk and Its minions, they had reached out to a few contacts of theirs to see about helping the others get home.
That was why Jack was gathering them all up on the balcony in front of the globe.
"Okay, guys, we have some good news. We managed to get in touch with an ally of ours. We think she can give us more information about what exactly you are. Like...how much you were changed to be like us, how the mechanics of the world have changed to pull you in. It might give us some headway in figuring out how to get you back home. She wants to meet you."

But for now she'd quietly enjoy the novelty of it.

He instantly glared at Jack.
"You little larrikin! I'm gonna get you back good for this one."

(It wasn't like Bunny needed a seatbelt in the sleigh, after all. He'd gone without before. The new people maybe did, which is why Jack hadn't touched their seatbelts but Bunny definitely didn't.)
The sleigh shot forward through pristine tunnels at what probably felt like a kajillion miles per hour, sliding back and forth on the ice and careening over bumps. Jack laughed a deep, hearty laugh as they flew along, then pushed at a lever that looked something like the stick shift of a car. Somehow the sleigh boosted even faster, and then they started sliding around the tunnel in corkscrews, centripetal force pressing them against their seats.
"The loop-the-loops are my favorite part!" Jack cried out over the rush of wind.
Finally, they were right side up again. The sleigh rode over the last few rickety parts of the path over a wooden ramp, making it sound as if they were on a roller coaster, and finally blasted up into the air. There was a rush of cold wind, but oddly, it was as if the cold just wasn't able to touch them quite as much as it should have been able to.
Jack looked back with a grin and his voice took on the smooth tones of a airplane pilot. "Ladies and gentleman, this is your captain speaking. On behalf of the flight crew, I'd like to welcome you to North Pole Airlines flight 2734 to Taichung, Taiwan. We should touch down in Taichung at 3:45 pm local time, depending on this headwind. Please keep your seatbelts fastened and your hands inside the sleigh until we come to a come in for a landing and come to a complete stop. The "no smoking" light will remain on throughout the flight -" Here Jack gestured with the hand not holding the reins to a random light that had absolutely nothing to do with smoking "- in compliance with FAA regulations. You may not smoke in the lavatories - or even use the lavatories because there are no lavatories and we'd prefer you not improvise. In the case of a water landing, Bunny can be used as a flotation device."

Bunny's initial response was a drawn-out groan of barely contained nausea, as he gripped the edge of the sleigh and tried to balance leaning over it with not looking down.
There did not need to be that many loop-de-loops.
They did not need to be taken that fast.
"Gonna tie you to a tree for six hours this time, you show pony."
There was little actual antagonism behind the threat, but the "this time" suggested there had already been other times.

Without North around, the snowglobes were hard to come by. The yetis knew how to make them but they couldn't crank them out nearly as fast as North could. But a full sleigh full of mythy newbs and the potential of fearling attack gave them a good excuse to use one for right now.
"Taichung," Jack said, shaking the snowglobe and a landscape of the city appeared in its snowy depths. Then he threw the globe in front of the sleigh. A portal vorped into view and away they went.

But he's really uncool with it.
"And you won't let me drive!" he spits.

At least Howard got to keep his seatbelt.
